I also recommend salt and pepper and even top it with parsley or chives! Feel free to add any plant-based protein on top such as chickpeas!

How To Make Mushroom Toast (Vegan)

1. To make creamy vegan mushrooms, start by heating up oil or vegan butter on a non-stick pan on medium-high heat.

2. Next, add chopped mushrooms and a pinch of salt and saute for about 2-3 minutes until the mushrooms are cooked.

3. When mushrooms have cooked, add garlic powder and 3 tbsp vegan cream cheese (you can use store-bought or use my recipe), and a little water (start with 1 tbsp). Mix until creamy consistency.

4. Then, toast your bread and spread 1 tbsp of vegan cream cheese on each piece of toast.

5. Top your toast with your cooked vegan creamy mushrooms. Add salt and pepper to taste. You can also top it with fresh parsley or chives! Enjoy!
