Vegan Food Hacks You Need to Know

There are so many different food hacks that circulate around the internet and honestly, I can’t believe I haven’t yet made a video about the topic! I love the idea of food hacks, cause let’s face it – I’m lazy and I love a good food trend.

In my video, I’m showing you guys 4 different vegan food hacks that are all delicious and of course, super easy to make. Minimal ingredients and CHEAP as well.

Peanut Ramen Recipe

What you’ll need…

  • 1 package of vegan instant noodles (check the back – many instant noodles/ramen are vegan by default)
  • 1 heaping spoonful of peanut butter
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Sriracha
  • Around 1 tbsp of water to help mix

  1. Cook the ramen noodles without adding the seasoning packet.
  2. Drain the water and add noodles into a big bowl.
  3. Add peanut butter, lemon juice and Sriracha sauce and mix well (adding a little water if necessary to help mix).
  4. Enjoy the deliciousness!

Three-Ingredient Burger Recipe

What you’ll need…

  • 1 can kidney beans (or any beans of choice)
  • 1 cup oat flour (or ground-up oats)
  • 1 cup store-bought pasta sauce

  1. Mash the beans with a fork or use a food processor/chopper.
  2. Add mashed beans, oat flour and pasta sauce into a big mixing bowl and mix until well-combined.
  3. Heat a little oil on a non-stick pan and cook patties for 3-5 minutes on each side on medium-high heat.

Banana Oat Cookies Recipe

What you’ll need…

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups oats
  • 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips (optional)

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Mash bananas in a big bowl.
  3. Add oats and mix together until well-combined.
  4. Mix in chocolate chips or other add-ins.
  5. Spoon onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and flatten with a wet fork into cookie shapes.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes.

2-ingredient cake/cupcakes

What you’ll need…

  • Box of cake mix (many areย vegan by accident, so just look at the ingredients list!)
  • 1 can of soda pop

  • Mix the entire box of cake mix with a can of soda pop until well-combined.
  • Bake as a cake or as cupcakes – follow the instructions on the cake mix box.

  1. I’ve tried lots of vegan burger recipes but my family loves this one, and so easy! I’ve enjoyed many of your youtube videos. Thank you!

  2. Does it matter which soda you use…. I.e. if I’m making a strawberry cake do I use Pepsi? Where do you get vegan icing?

I think you can use any soda! Not sure though. Maybe try with sprite? ๐Ÿ™‚ and I just bought a random icing at the store which happened to be vegan friendly.

  3. Burger was great….clearly you can substitute anything into this recipe as long as there are beans + oat flour + tomatoes/pasta sauce… thank you

Became a fan of it too. Thabks for making becoming a vegan so much easier for me.

  5. I made the banana oat cookies and my family did not care for them but I loved them! I totally plan to make them again to have a long side my breakfast or as a delish snack. The chocolate chips were a good call. I had one with a glass of red wine and it paired very well ?. I am making the kidney bean burgers tonight! Yum
