Coconut Bacon Recipe
I didn’t realize how easy it was to make coconut bacon until I actually tried it at home!
Whenver I find myself having leftover or extra coconut shreds that need to be used up, I now make some coconut bacon with them.
This Coconut bacon recipe is:
- Only 5 ingredients!
- Only 1 minute prep time
- 10 minute cook time!
- Vegan
- Gluten-free
(if you use tamari instead of soy sauce)
Coconut Bacon (Vegan) Ingredients:
- Coconut flakes
- Vegetable oil
- Soy sauce (or tamari if gluten-free)
- Liquid smoke
- Maple syrup
How To Make Coconut Bacon:
- Mix together the liquid ingredents into a sauce.
- Add unsweetened coconut shreds into sauce and mix until well coated.
- Roast in the oven.
That’s it! How simple is that?
How to store it: Once you make a nice batch of coconut bacon, you can keep it in a tightly sealed container in the fridge and enjoy them by:
- Adding it as a topping to roasted veggies
- Adding it into vegan mac & cheese
- Mixing with some vegan mayo and making a vegan BLT

Coconut Bacon Recipe
Equipment
- Oven
- Mixing Bowl
- Baking Sheet
Ingredients
- 2 cups Coconut flakes
- 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari if gluten-free
- 2 tbsp liquid smoke
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add all ingredients and mix well until coconut flakes have been well-coated.
- Line a baking sheet with non-stick or reusable baking paper and bake for 10-12 minutes, tossing halfway through.
- Allow to cool for at least 10-15 minutes before serving.
Doing keto diet and looking for vegan Keto recipes and friend mentioned coconut bacon so I found this one and made it. It’s super tasty and easy to make. I sprinkle some on my avocado toast, salads and whatever I have for dinner
