Recipe for Vegan Big Mac & Sauce

Recipe for Vegan Big Mac

I’m so excited to show you how to make a vegan version of the big mac burger. Instead of beef, I used impossible beef (around 170g total) to make 2 plant-based burger patties, but feel free to use any burgers of your choice! You’ll be using 2 patties for each big mac and 3 burger bun slices (as the big mac comes with an extra bun slice in the middle) which will be coated by our easy vegan big mac sauce!

If you ever crave big macs or want to try one that’s plant-based, this vegan big mac with sauce can easily be made using plant-based burger patties, buns, cheese and my vegan big mac sauce in less than 10 minutes 🙂

How To Make Big Mac (Vegan)

How To Make Big Mac (Vegan)

1. Start making your vegan big mac by choosing which plant-based burger patties you’ll be making. Then, heat a non-stick pan on medium-high heat (add a little oil if you need) and place plant-based burger patties on top and cook them for around 3-4 minutes on one side, or according to the package instructions.

2. In the meantime, dice onion and chop iceberg lettuce. Flip the burgers over to cook for another 2-4 minutes (or according to the package instructions). and place a vegan cheese slice on top of one of the patties. Cover.

3. If you prefer to have your buns slightly toasted, then toast your burger buns by placing them on the pan beside the patties for a few seconds.

4. Next, prepare your Vegan Big Mac Sauce. Mix together all the ingredients in a bowl until well-combined.

5. Now assemble your big mac! Place the bottom of a burger bun on a plate, then add around 1 tbsp of Vegan Big Mac Sauce and top with 1/2 the lettuce. Add the burger patty with the cheese on top then top with 1/2 the onions and the bottom of another burger bun. Add another 1 tbsp of the Vegan Big Mac Sauce, top with the rest of the lettuce and a layer of pickles. Add the second burger bun, the rest of the onions, and another 1 tbsp of sauce and add the top bun.

Voila! Enjoy your vegan big mac!
