My Skincare & Makeup Routine (Vegan/Cruelty-Free) + My New Fave Dressing!

Watch video above! (Scroll down to get the tahini dressing recipe)

I know that my channel is mostly centred around FOOD but I definitely want to promote all aspects of veganism. This includes promoting vegan beauty products that are cruelty-free. I’m so happy that this company, 100% Pure, reached out to me to do a collaboration because I am GENUINELY OBSESSED with their products.

Not only is the brand cruelty-free, it is also a 100% vegetarian brand transitioning to be fully VEGAN. AMAZING! It’s already very heavily vegan-friendly from what I’ve seen. Another super impressive thing about this brand is that it is non-toxic, no artificial fragrances/colours and free of synthetic chemical preservatives. Their products are FRUIT PIGMENTED. OMG.

From the beginning when I received the products, I was impressed. The packaging was beautiful and elegant, yet simple. Everything looked like it was designed with a lot of thought in mind. But of course, packaging doesn’t matter to me as much as the actual product working. And let me tell you that everything I tried was impressive beyond what I expected.

Here’s me with NO makeup!!

(LOL please ignore the awkward selfies)

My skin definitely has been looking REALLY GOOD LATELY. I’m sure it’s because of multiple factors but I’ve really been loving their skincare line, as well as their makeup products (especially anything for THE FACE).

Here’s me wearing just face makeup:

I am wearing their Tinted Moisturizer as well as their BB Cream – both of which I am obsessed with. These are some of the best vegan & cruelty-free face makeup products I’ve ever used. As I mention in the video, the Tinted Moisturizer actually has really good coverage and really is a great substitute for foundation. Same with the BB Cream (this also has a nice glow to it too!).

This is my face after all the makeup (I know I’m not a beauty guru so my makeup is not going to look perfect!):

Anyway, I won’t bore you with the details in this post as I go over the products and different steps I took in my video (watch the video above). But here’s the list of products!

And now for the tahini dressing recipe…

This is my new favourite dressing! It’s more of a sauce because it goes SO well on top of rice and veggies. I’ve already made this twice and one time, this dish is basically all I ate for an entire day. It makes any dish taste super amazing and gives tons of flavour. I definitely will be making this ALL THE TIME.

Super Delicious Tahini Dressing Recipe

Ingredients (approx. 2-3 servings):

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp raw apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp agave nectar or maple syrup (a little less if you don’t want it too sweet)
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients into a bowl and mix until well-combined and smooth.
  2. Store in fridge in a container and serve with anything you wish! (watch video to see how I ate it)

  1. You have INCREDIBLE skin, Rose! I personally don’t wear any skin makeup–not even concealer–because I find it to be very de-hydrating for my skin. I really have to try that tahini dressing now! It probably tastes amazing in any salad or grilled vegetable medley. The Thai food looked absolutely heavenly too! LOVE curry and sweet and sour tofu and veggies!

  2. Hi! I just made your dressing and enjoyed it on my salad this week. I have to ask, though, whether that should be 1 Tbsp of garlic powder or 1 tsp? 1 Tbsp seemed like way too much.

    1. I personally used 1 tablespoon but feel free to use one tsp if you’d prefer to use less! I just really like garlic haha 🙂
