For most of my plant-based cheese recipes, I usually use cashews or tofu as the main ingredient! However, I wanted to make a nut-free vegan cheese & soy-free vegan cheese option for my readers!
What I love about hemp seed is that it’s easy to get a similar texture to crumbly parmesan! And by mixing hemp with nutritional yeast you get that “cheesy” taste. This vegan cashew parmesan is so tasty and if you add garlic powder (optional) you’ll get a garlic-y parmesan taste which I highly recommend!

What is vegan parmesan made of? Most vegan parmesan is made from nuts, seeds, or soy. This recipe shows you how to make vegan parmesan from hemp seeds.
All you need to do is blend all the ingredients together in a food processor and process until crumbly.

Obsessed!!! Tastes better than store bought vegan parmesan and it’s high protein too. I had a bag of hemp seeds I haven’t looked at in a long time and this was the best use. Added to my pasta for lunch and will probably put it on everything 😂
